years. Danny Murtaugh’s astounding Bucs brought down Casey Stengel’s mighty
Yankees, 10-9, in a titanic struggle that gave the National League champions the series,
four games to three. Minutes later a crowd of 36,683 touched off a celebration that
swept through the city.
